Talboys Advanced Hotplate-Stirrers

Talboys Advanced Hotplate-Stirrers deliver accurate and repeatable results. Their low profile design takes up less space and they easily fit into fume hoods. They are available in ceramic, chemical resistant tops or aluminum tops that provide a more even heating surface. Front panel features LED display and easy-to-use controls, which allow users to dial-in adjustments. Comes with a 1.5 inch PTFE coated stir bar and a 2 year limited warranty on parts and labour.

Features:

• Microprocessor regulates stirring function with continuous duty motor and magnet to maintain set speeds even under changing load or viscosity and regulates heating so samples are heated to the set temperature quickly and accurately.
• Stir control knob has rpm adjustment markings (60 to 1600rpm).
• Ramping feature slowly increases speed for improved safety and enhanced coupling. Avoids splashing, improves spin bar control and provides excellent low speed control.
• Built in memory allows users to recall last set temperature, even when unit has been turned off.
• Caution hot top indicator is illuminated when heat is turned on and remains on until top plate cools down.
• If unit exceeds set temperature by 10º C, the unit will automatically shut down.
• Temperature range is 5 to 500º C for ceramic top plates and 5 to 400º C for aluminum top plates.
• Maximum capacity (H2O) is 600mL for 4"x4" top plates, 2500mL for 7"x7" top plates and 6000mL for 10"x10" top plates.
